Family Reunion @ Woodbine Farm
July 7, 8 & 9, 2023
NEED TO KNOW - INFORMATION
ACCOMODATIONS - Everyone is welcome to camp in tents, campers or RVs, or stay in area hotels. The following are recommended area Hotels and RV rental centers.
VOLUNTEERS - The entire Reunion weekend will be driven by the generous time of volunteers, both before, during and after the Reunion. Please try to make one of the Clean-up Weekends listed below. During the Reunion Weekend, we have no a formal volunteer list or assignments, so we rely on everyone to pitch in whenever there is a set-up, break-down, food preparation, trash pick-up, etc. It would also be a big help to simply ask any of the Committee members what you can do to help. Thank you in advance.
Please let us know how you can help.
Email Us to let us know.
TRASH - Please make sure you mind your trash and ask that all the young Cousins do as well. There will be numerous trash cans around the Farm. When trash cans are full, please pull out the trash can liner, tie it up and re-line trash can with bags which should be nearby. There will be a trash pickup a couple times each day via tractor and trailer. Please volunteer to help with that detail
ANIMALS - We want all those attending to have a pleasant and health weekend. Due to the high density of people at the Reunion, we respectfully request that no animals be brought to Woodbine during the Reunion.
CURFEW - Curfew in the camping area and around the houses is 11:00 p.m. If you want or need to hoot and holler beyond that, the old barnyard (where the red shed is) or out in the west field (softball territory) will make perfect spots for enjoying a campfire, sharing old stories, and telling new lies. Please be responsible for making sure all campfires are out...all the way.
POOL RULES -
-
Hours are 9:30 am to 8:00 pm. These times have been set for safety and maintenance. If the pool “draw-bridge” is up during any other time the pool is additionally closed.
-
No diaper-aged children are permitted in the large pool. This is an important health precaution. There are wading pools available for the youngest cousins.
-
There is never a lifeguard on duty. Keep your children safe. Please supervise your children and DO NOT DEPEND ON OTHERS.
-
No food or drinks in the pool.
-
Any adult over the age of 25 may unilaterally institute an "Adult Swim" anytime and for any reason, including child control or adult sanity.
SAFETY & HEALTH -
-
AUTOMOBILES: Safety is a prime issue for the weekend. Please limit the use of your car on the farm to arrival and departure. Strictly adhere to a 10 MPH speed limit…lower is even better. Teenagers should be supervised by their parents and may be instructed by any “concerned” adult. We have many small cousins, so please always be aware of who is around you as you drive.
-
PLEASE RESPECT THE LAWS IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND: Maryland State law forbids the use of fireworks and the consumption of alcohol by anyone under the age of 21 years. Please respect these laws while at Woodbine.
-
POISON IVY, TICKS AND BURRS: All are common around Woodbine. Use caution when underneath trees and in grass that has not been cut down to lawn height. Burrs hurt and no amount of raking in the campgrounds will completely eliminate them. Wear shoes!!
-
DOGS: Due to the high density of people at the Reunion and wanting to respect the heath and pleasure of all our cousins, we respectfully request that no animals be brought to Woodbine during the Reunion.
